Dave Belec?!?!?!?!?!?!?!Dave,
Mikie Mingyee here!!! It is about time I caught up with you!!! I see that your sponsorship with Hair Club For Men did not work out too well, eh?
Your site looks fantastic!! Great Job!
I do not know if you knew that I moved to Tampa in '05. The family is doing good, expecting #3 in March. .... ..WOW!!!
I finally found a house gig here. Every Friday & Saturday. Just show up, play, and leave. NO GEAR TO HAUL!!!! I just started 2 weeks ago. Check us out @ myspace.com/borderlinefla. It is a pretty decent club considering the rural area that it is in. I really don't care, as long as I am playing.
I would love to chat and catch up to see how you are doing. Looks like the band is a lot of fun. I miss gigin' with you. We were pretty good back in the Private Drive days,eh? Contact me when you can.
The pics are of my kit ( Sonor ) that I bought when I moved here to get a gig with. The band played 3 gigs and then imploded!! Sold my gear and was very, very, very depressed. Then this gig just came about a month ago and purchased another kit ( Pearl ). I think I'll keep this one. I am still waiting on two drums that are back ordered, but it will be worth the wait. The last pic....well........ahhh.....the good old days when I had Popeye forearms!!!
Hope all is well with you and your family. Send me a message and we'll catch up!! My family and I are due up to Rochester again in late June of '08. If you have a gig, I'll be there!!!
Good luck with 50/50!! It looks like you guys have your act together. Congrats!
Best,
Mike Catone

Wow, Mikey!!!Great to hear from you, bro! I won't bore everyone else with all the details, but yes, things are going great up here.
For those of you that are wondering, this guy is a MONSTER drummer. I learned how to get up in front of people when I got hired for his band, Private Drive. Every band I joined or formed since that one made me realize how spoiled I was by working with Mike!
Glad I landed here with Rob, don't have that problem anymore! So here's to Mikey for starting my tinnitus back in the late 80's!!!
Mike, I'm comin over to your site now, biyatch!!!
